WHAT IS MSM?
MSM (or Methylsulfonylmethane) is a compound found in connective tissue that is easily absorbed transdermally through the skin. It actively reduces the signs of skin ageing by improving skin hydration, elasticity and firmness by contributing to overall connective tissue strength. As an added benefit MSM also helps alleviate joint pain and stiffness through its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative strengths. MSM’s anti-inflammatory action involves inhibiting inflammatory pathways which decreases pro-inflammatory chemicals. The sulphur component of MSM is also crucial in forming collagen and glucosamine, which is essential for the overall health of cartilage and connective tissue, further slowing cartilage degeneration.
